How to play Ember Solitaire
- All 52 cards start face up across eight columns. Build four same-suit foundations from Ace to King to win. There is no stock and no hidden information.
- Build down in alternating colours, moving single cards or ordered runs. Any movable card or run can fill an empty column.
- Two reserve spaces can each hold one card. Parking a card spends one ember charge. You start with two charges; every card moved to a foundation restores one, up to a maximum of two.
- Taking a card out of a reserve is free, but does not restore a charge. Foundation cards stay home; use Undo if you need to take back a move. Plan your foundation moves to keep your reserves available.
Tap a card to select it, then tap where it should go. You can also drag cards with a mouse. Hint suggests a legal move, not a guaranteed solution. Undo is always available while you have move history. Keyboard: Tab and Enter to select cards and destinations; Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo.
